Getting a Professional Headshot Doesn’t Have to Be a Big Project

People often assume getting a professional headshot is a bigger project than it really is. While it’s easier than ever to create an image in just a few clicks, there’s still value in showing people the real person they’ll be working with. A traditionally photographed headshot helps build trust, creates a connection, and makes a genuine first impression long before you meet in person.

You don’t have to know how to pose or worry about looking “photogenic.” I’ll guide you through the entire session with simple directions that help bring out natural expressions and genuine smiles—without feeling stiff or overly posed. The goal isn’t just a professional-looking photo—it’s creating an image that feels genuine and reflects the person your clients will actually meet.

Outdoor Professional Headshots

Outdoor headshots are a great choice if you’re looking for a professional image with a little more personality. Around Southern Oregon, I often use natural greenery, brick walls, trees, simple architectural details, and other outdoor settings that keep the focus on you.

Studio Professional Headshots

Studio headshots are ideal when you need a consistent, distraction-free look for company websites, LinkedIn, marketing materials, speaking engagements, professional profiles, or simply want your online presence to reflect the professional you are today.

Studio sessions also include a background-removed “cutout” version of your headshot, making it easy to add your photo to Canva designs, presentations, websites, brochures, and other marketing materials.

Lifestyle Professional Headshots

Lifestyle headshots are designed to tell more of your story than a traditional headshot. These sessions can take place indoors or outdoors to create story-based images in locations that naturally reflect what you do. Whether that’s your home office, a gym, a coffee shop, a bookstore, a library, a park, or another favorite location, the setting becomes part of the story while keeping the focus on you and your brand.

After more than 10 years of photographing professionals throughout Southern Oregon, I’ve learned that the easier the process feels, the more people actually enjoy having their photo taken. That’s why I’ve designed my Individual Headshot experience to be simple from start to finish.
